About 4 days ago pop_pop had a thread on TARGETepo, whereby a patients DNA was permanently altered to increase hematocrit and hemoglobin levels. I am guessing that the first person to break 2 hours will have had this therapy.
It's will have to be something illegal and/or a technological breakthrough. Most good HS milers have a PR just a few seconds faster than 4:34. Hell, 4:30 can win state in some small high school divisions. The human body is just not meant to run that fast over 26.2 miles. 2:00 is impossible especially since the marathon is unpredicte and attempts are few. As it is now NOT GONNA HAPPEN. EVER. FACT.
