mcmillan calculator indicates that 5:23 flat (just over 4:19 mile pace) is equivalent to 1:54, 2:30.1, 3:55, 8:22, 14:43 (??). So, she is clearly ready to challenge Mutola's 1k record. It is a farce that this drug show continues, and the arrogance to have this in Sabadell!

Glad these boards did not exist in the 1960s. Jim Ryun's 3:51.3--50 years ago--was far more ridiculous than any current performances.
Obviously, Dibaba is worthy of heightened suspicion because of Aden but we cannot just assume that every good performance is doped.

Couldn't agree more, this continues to be the ultimate slap in the face to clean athletes everywhere and certainly makes the testing system appear to be absolutely useless. I mean some one was using those syringes....

2) indoor is not slower than outdoor anymore, hence all these crazy "records," Galen Rupp solo'ing 3:51 and 13:01, and so forth, in the offseason.
It's sad. Dibaba always does well indoors and early outdoor season. Where she trains there's no drug testing so she just needs to come off before the competition. Outdoors where she gets tested regularly, she has to stay off and her results aren't so good toward the end of the season. Such a farce. Where are the Ethiopian whistleblowers? Perhaps they're all doping.

2) the record were not solo, he had pacers and in the 13:01 Chelenga was breathing down his neck til the last 400m
3) the indoor season is not an off season, it's the indoor season

2) It was indoors in a race nobody cared about and he was competing against one guy, then he goes out to Historic Hayweird Field and his adoring fans and can only do 13:14
