I wouldn't say the left is "afraid" of free speech, but that many people are becoming less and less tolerant of HATE speech. Just because you're free to speak your mind doesn't mean you're not responsible for what you say and do, or are liable for backlash.

I would agree that it is, but the reaction definitely was not apt. Besides, that kind of reaction is exactly what he wants, all the backlash and attention he is getting is what fuels his fire anyways. I wish people would see this... He's acting literally like a child, crying out for attention.
