4:50
10:10
17:20
etc.
stop guy, a 19:30-20:00 5k would give hard ons to d3 schools
Really? D3? Those seems more like mid range D1.
This sounds more reasonable! What about 3k/1500m?
under 12 two mile, you do the math. and get around 5:30-5:45 in the mile. but dont just settle for this. run as fast as you can, train hard/smart and have fun.
Any ideas about 2k steeple?

I'd rather hear about how the not so "respectable" hs girls spend their times.
9pm is an appropriate time for a respectable hs girl to return home.
As far as a d3 coach, I couldn't tell you. However, one way to attract a d1 coach is to be named "Kim Conley." Past history shows it to be true.
Are D3 teams even interested in steeplechasers?
several D3 coaches have asked my daughter (a HS senior now, 5:00 1500) if she was interested in steeple.

As a DIII coach on a fairly good team (not top in the country, but respectable team with several conference titles at a mid-level DIII conference), I would be excited about any hs athlete that even had any steeple experience, especially if they have reasonably good times. For our school, I'd say these are the range of girls distance times we try to recruit, although several slower people join the team too:
5k XC- any one in the mid to low 20's is a good recruit, 19's are our top recruits, and anyone under 19 min we would be ecstatic to get
3200- anyone under 12:30 would be a good recruit, 11's would be top recruits. Our best freshman right now ran 11:20 in HS and was our #3 for XC
1600- Anyone under 6 min would be of interest, 5:45 would be a solid recruit, 5:30 or under would be our very top recruits
800- Anyone under 2:35 would be okay, under 2:30 would be good, under 2:25 would be a top recruit
