So I recently raced a mile in 4:40, which predicts a threshold pace of 2:47 (or 5:34). However, 6:05 pace is pretty challenging for tempo runs for me (for 4 milers, slower than Daniels' 5:54 marathon pace predictor) and my 5k would probably be around 17:50 at the moment, where I'd probably even throw up after such an effort.
How do I figure out what my true tempo pace is? I realize my endurance is horrendous - I always came from 800 side.
