Fast, but comfortable, spikes for the 2 mile? I tried the NB5000 but they were very uncomfortable for me.

try saucony endorphin - amazing grip and comfort
last year used the 4spike and will try the 6spike this year
make sure you do not tighten them too much
we also have nb5000 and like the saucony more
I agree with triedthat, I have saucony endorphins and they are really good, very light with enough traction for the 3200. When you get down to the 1600/1500 range and below you should probably get spikes with a spikeplate of at least 6 instead of 4 though.

Adidas Adizero Avanti. If they fit your feet, look no further.
Boost foam, super light, and a killer fast hybrid-strike plate that is soft
where it needs to be and stiff on the toes and in the turns. Great for 1500 - 5000 but also good down to 800 and up to 10000 too. Spike pattern looks strange at first but they dig in really well, especially in turns and extra so indoors. Without
spikes in, they almost feel like you still have spikes in. They are that good.
New model is spendy. Last years, pre-Rio model can be found cheaper. Not
always available in stores so look on the internet. About that fit.....They
fit narrow feet best usually.
Did you know that going barefoot is astonishingly lighter than the lightest pair of spikes? It is also free!

Have fun racing on the track with those bare feet.
(Barefoot jogging at 5:30 pace isn't racing)
