Does anyone know Steve Agar ?

No but I recall John Agar, he was an actor in the 50's if memory serves me right.

Yeah he beat me by like 100 meters in a 1500 several years ago when I lied about my time to get into a race in Davis (man that was stupid).

I think he ran a 3:57/58 mile at one point and even beat Sully (although there was some barely legal shoving on the last lap)at the Canadian National Championships one year. Forgive me if I'm wrong about the shoving.

I believe it was Dominica, a small island in the Carribean between Guapalope & Martinique. My wife and I were assigned to put on track clinics on the island for three weeks in the early 90's. Steve ran with the Ottawa Lions for a few years in the mid-nineties and then moved to the Bay Area to train with Jeff Johnson and the first of the Farm Teamers. He ran 3:36 a couple of times and competed in the 1996 Olympics for Dominica. The last time that I saw him he was hanging his nuts out at his wedding with Consiglio, Harris and Donker to name a few.
