In my experience, professional runners have the worst diets possible. Look at Chris Derrick and others.....Chipotle burritos, tons of meat, etc. Others drink way too much beer.Read a bit more about the body and how it works. "Recovery" snacks are a myth. After your two hour long run your body is still digesting the food you ate 6-8 hours ago or longer. Eat when you're hungry. Not too much meat, a lot of fruit and vegetables. Make sure you get enough carbs in the form of rice and pasta, etc.

Afters professional/elite runners finish a workout what sback do they eat? Like peanut butter toast, whey protein, banana, meat, protein bar, etc. I have been making a whey protein and banana shake after my runs, but I feel like I don't actually need 30 grams of protein. Do you guys have any insight of what professional/elite runners eat? Thank you.
