I would say probably 450-5 and any time under 440 is good.

Way too low!!!
You're forgetting all the slugs who jog the race. Average is at least 6 min.
You did go to high school didn't you? Do you remember what average means?
Another prime example of our educational system failing.
When do you start your shift at McDonalds?
You seem kind of angry bud.
Anything over 4:0x is average. You start getting decent above average times sub 4:10.

What? I've been coaching for over 20 years and in none of my experience is 6 minutes average for a kid on a high school track team. There are kids who run slower than 6 min, but they are in the minority. Even my slowest kids end up breaking 6.
In our area (not super competitive) Mid 4:50s will do ok in dual meets. League finlas meets might be low 4:40. Divisional meets might be won in the mid 4:20s to high 4:20s. Sectional meet, 4:15 or below usually.
6:00 mile was like 313th out of 397 for divisions 4 and 5 of Sac Joaquin Section of California.
National median for guys 1600m last season (per athletic.net) was 5:13.80.
This is likely taken from a sample pool that is missing plenty of 5:45+ male milers, as they will usually only run home dual meets which may or may not end up recorded online.
4:50.00 (1600m) put you in the top 20% of male milers last year.
4:49
