I went through maybe 6 or 8 pairs of Nike Span Triax before the bastards (damn the eyes of all running shoe makers!!) mercilessly killed the shoe. I've been looking for a similar shoe for everyday training.
I bought a pair of NB 833s and liked them, but like the last 6 or 7 pairs of NB shoes I've worn, they died well before their time (less than 250 miles).
The local shoe store put me into a pair of Brooks Dyads, which felt OK when walking/jogging, but I've got a feeling my legs aren't going to like 'em long term. I don't care so much that they're a little heavy (I only use them for easy runs - all workouts and races are in flats), but have that feeling, early on, that me and them just won't be compatible.
So, former Span Triax wearers out there: what have you found that gives a similar ride?
