Very fair and well-reasoned ranking.
No one believes that Alfred Kipketer is 20. He's at least 25 - according to other Kenyans, but leave it to the PC crowd to swallow every like they swallow every lie from POC's. Because that's acceptable and tolerant.
If Murphy weren't a paleface he'd be ranked 3rd as he should be, or at the very worst, 4th. What a bunch of cucks. It's surprising you didn't rank him behind Berian and Brazier.

You were the 2nd poster in the thread. lol
I suspect that Clayton Murphy won't mind settling for an Olympic medal and a brojo slight, rather than visa versa.
Stop it with your clickbait thread titles.
Because we are all so interested in what your opinion is.

Using the word "cuck" disqualifies you from any grown-up conversation. Luckily, this is Letsrun, so whatever. But you're still a dum-dum.

Olympics races should get credit for the heat and semi. They are for more important than any diamond league race.
A high yearly ranking without an Olympic medal is like kissing your twin brother. It's alright but you know you want more.

Any one else think Clayton Murphy is like Ivo Van Damme? Young and good at both 800 and 1500.
NOT talking about the tragedy
You don't "win" the bronze. You sneak into the bronze when everyone else goes for the gold and most of them tank.
Murphy performed when it mattered and on top of that, he ran real fast! The other guys had good regular seasons running 1:43.xx to win races that Rudisha wasn't in. But Murphy's time was faster than their SBs and he got some hardware.

It would be nice. Van Damme was spectacular.
A huge loss to athletics.
The only possible reason to rank him 6th is an attempt to motivate him for the 2020 Olympics. Which team was the best in baseball this year...Cubs!
Basketball...Cavaliers! Football...Broncos!
Excuses do not matter.
Another reason could be that you want us to read the article.
cuck, though itself an old word, derives from some underground gay sex community from which it somehow emerged into the alt-right movement, the word being used by Richard Spencer, the racist head of said movement, as reported on by NPR and (the latter part) confirmed by Spencer himself in a combative interview.
It is true that a conservative strategy can often lead to a bronze, which is why American distance runners are far more likely to win bronze than gold, because you have to be at least at the level of the top runners in a sit and kick or fast race to be able to contend for the win. And it is also true that Alfred Kipketer (no one cares what his real age is, surely he was an illegal "junior," since he is a professional and should contend for the championships for years) went for the win and died as a result. Kipketer could have run 49.9 and won with a 52.0-52.2, but he put too much into getting pole position from Rudisha. Of course, Rudisha, without that fight, might have run 1:41 mid instead. Clayton Murphy did not perform on the circuit, barely racing there, and so is hard to give #3, but I think that putting him at #6 is wrong. #4 or #5 is probably right. He was American champion and bronze medalist. His best time was among the best in the year. That should be enough. But Murphy is going to be a contender at 8 and 15 for the next five to ten years. He is already nearly as fast as Steve Cram at the 800m. He has run only 3:36 in the 1500m, but I would be very surprised if he doesn't run 3:31-32 next year. And he is likely to break Gray's record in the 8 (1:42.60), if Berian doesn't beat him to it.
Berian is good but after reading last weeks article about Brazier, I couldn't believe the minuscule amount of training this guy has done to hit the times he did last year. Murphy, Berian, and Brazier certainly are making the 800 event the deepest of all mid and distance events for the US. Even though these three will be displacing Symmonds and Solomon soon, for the next year or two the US has a great shot at Diamond's and Worlds with these five. Murphy deserves all the accolades right now, but watch out for Brazier. Once he actually gets solid and consistent coaching, he may challenge the 1:40 mark. ----Murphy will soon be challenging Centro at 1500. And he's got a better kick!
