Thinking of jumping in the mile or 3k at BU this weekend - the flyer says you can start picking up numbers at 8:30 but does anyone know what the typical meet schedule is. If I run the mile or 3k do I really need to get there at 830?

Just re-read the flying - events start at 10am in this order - 3000m, 400, Mile, 200, 800.
Still wondering what time I'll need to get there.
I've run them in the past. When I did it there were 3 or 4 heats of the 3k (fastest to slowest) which went from maybe 10-11. Then the 400s were quick, say, from 11-11:30. Then there were about 15 mile heats (fastest to slowest). If you're doing the 3k you can expect to get going pretty quickly, knowing that you're going to be in the first two or last two heats. If you're running the mile, or doubling back, it is pretty much a mixed bag where you might be. Your heat could fall anywhere from 11:30 to 3 (or so) for the mile.
When I ran I did the 3k in the second or third heat and then was in maybe heat 10 with a 4:45 seed time.
Good luck! Hope this helps.
