I think the more interesting part of this story is how Nicole Sifuentes, Shannon Osika, and Dominique Scott managed to substantially dip under the mile world record with nobody noticing...

Hey "coach", you realize a 4:10 mile and 2:27 marathon, especially within 2 days hours (or at all for that matter) is better than 99.9999% of the World. That is by definition "impressive". Learn statistics, and respect and don't even consider making such comments unless you could do the same.

They were given a handicap - they started 20 some seconds ahead, but the time only started when the Men's race went off.

I dont know this for certain but i would guess they were allowed to start early so that they all might compete for the same pot of money at the end. sometimes they do this to increase the interest in the race. I think its a good idea. I would guess they started like 30 seconds ahead or so.

Kimetto had a 14:09 5k split during his record run. McMillan converts a 14:09 5k to 4:04 and Jack Daniels converts it to 4:06. Some food for thought.

With this guy's mile result coming up I don't know how nobody is jumping on Will Leer's 4:16. I know it was a road mile in December but jeez, 4:16?

Now I wonder why Erin Finn ran it in a leasurely 4:53. I assume she took a break after the NCAA Championship and was running it for fun rather than try for a top 3 position and prize money she would not be able to accept.

Leer needs to do something else w his life.

Except that is NOT by definition "impressive" nor is it a statistical term. Perhaps you should consider not making such comments until you learn what a dictionary and statistics are.

Furthermore, being slower than someone does not mean you have to be impressed with their times. The truth is that both of those times are not good for a world class male runner.
