weather must have been off the chain, as they just demolished that record. I was actually quite bummed for Lelisa, was really hoping for the fairy tale win for him, but at least now he has some prize money to send back home...can't wait to see his family in the US.
Impressive run by Scherf on the ladies side, and surprising to see Deba so far back (not even close to the win, i think 3-4min behind)
69° maybe at the start ..97% humidity. Currently ..10:54am its 79°/72%h. It's rained a lot in the time I've been here but today dawned clear ...but it's always humid and warm; it Honolulu HI. I'd say the front two just got after it and ran hard; no record, nor close to a record on the lady's side.
Lilesa still supporting Oromo terrorists, could only get 4th.
Isn't the H. Marathon's course similar to the Ironman triathlons marathon course?
No, the Ironman is on the Big Island and Honolulu Marathon is on Oahu. Two different islands.
