AMAZING FINISH TO AN ODD RACE!!
AMAZING FINISH TO AN ODD RACE!!
speed kills
Not that odd of a race. That kind of race makes XC fun to watch.
strength shows on the downhills, and speed kills
Smooth Assassin. Might have a shot at sub-4.

What was odd about it? Just because there wasn't a dominant presence? This was one of the best Foot Locker boy's race I've seen in a long time.
it was a great race (seems like it, it's like the second one i've watched) but i just did not expect hirsch and gessner to do so well, and i was hoping worley would win. also that bad a$$ kick tho
How many Texans have won Foot Locker?
That race was AMAZING!!! I picked Reed to win after I saw his speed on the first downhill. I figured he'd get to the lead in the final downhill also, then keep it. But I wasn't sure (obviously) and Finn was looking strong. When Reed kicked it in the home stretch I was amazed, thinking "kick of the week"!!!

Did Richard Simmons design the FL uniforms this year?
Congratulations to Reed MF Brown on his National Championship!
I only took 2
The race was put on a tee for him as a miler. Not a particularly fast race and he had a couple guys that were more than happy to lead from the gun. As a miler this is the most ideal scenario. Not to mention with how much speed he has and how well he can run downhills anything he lost on the final climb could easily be made up. With that said, in my opinion he raced perfectly for being a miler on a legitimate xc course.

Not sure what you mean by not that fast. His winning time was within a couple seconds or faster than 9 of the last 12 championship races. More interesting this race had 7 under 15:11 which was better than any of the races I could see full results for (footlocker website had some issues so I had to search around for other years , missed a few...).
Fisher won FLCC in about the same time, but was well clear of the field. Brown put on a fearless downhill technique clinic. Has a good shot at sub-4.
I enjoyed the race and thought Brown looked the best throughout especially on the downhills.

2 have won it now. They have generally wet the bed at Foot Locker. To have 3 finish in top 9 is pretty amazing for the state.
Speed Kills
