Wait 'til they have kids, they'll be even stronger.
Umm, ever hear of Carlos Lopes?
(In before "Justin Gatlin")
Well, Huddle does the longer distances. So she gets a pass.
Rowbury? .... idk
People who change up their training keep improving. People who get locked into one method stagnate.
Yeah but no drugs though!! Professional runners who make money based off of performance wouldn't take drugs!!
The top runners in the country (not sprinters) have been people in their 30s for quite some time now. This is not new.

30 is not old. It is the same as 20. Closer to 40 or over is when physical decline starts.

It is really random. A lot of people start to fall off in their late 20s. Others make it to their mid 30s.
Rowbury had a big break through last year. Huddle ran 14:44 6 years ago. She hasn't gotten noticeably faster since then. The big 10k pr is just an opportunity more than fitness improvements.
There's also Nick Willis: sub-3:30 PB after 30.

Rowbury was an accomplished Irish dancer in her younger days. This requires endurance and aerobic capacities.

Some of the best runners i've ever coached were Irish step dancers. This might be something to look into as cross training.

Nah, it's the Irish blood.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
