Who you got?
Who you got?
Watch out for Hirsch.
A F F O L D E R W I L L W I N.
Which one though ??
Claudia Lane and Seth Hirsch are my picks to win, if not those two than Nevada Mareno and Affolder/Gessner.
Nice shorts
Lane vs. Mareno should be great, and I'll add Story as a darkhorse with a real good chance.
I like Gessner to win the boys race.
My handle factors in the age difference between Tim Hacker and son, Olin Hacker, to set the tone for a third Hacker generation at the top of national cross country.
On that note, flosplit has ranked this year's WI ace, Finn Gessner, in the teens most of the season. Havent looked lately but he placed as a top underclassmen at both NXN and Footlocker in 2015. He ran 15:04 at a significantly harder course this fall and if he runs like that on Saturday there wont be many people ahead of him.
Didnt have a great race at FLMW but he got through. On his best day he wins FL Nationals. Yep, the whole thing. On an above average day he places top 4. I dont think he'll finish lower than 10th on a bad day.
He'll be a modest 4:10-4:11/8:47 type in the spring. Watch out for Affolder and Hirsch. On Wisconsin!
Yo affolder is a legit chode. He is way to cocky. He thought it would be easy to break ches' manhattan record and was pissed that he didn't beat drew hunter last year. He also said he likes hockey more than running. Not a fan
Lane will win and it won't even be close. Minute+ gap, at least.
i'm not going to predict a winner, but if they don't fix the coverage this year, i may never watch it again.
2 out of the last 3 years they simply dropped coverage mid-race.
there's no excuse for that.
so, foot locker, if you're listening, please check that you have sufficient cameras and internet to broadcast.
The main event was last week. None of them could beat Oakley or Clinger.
Watch for grijalva
Nationals was last weekend... Clinger won.

Very true this year for crowning top individual unfortunately. Too bad though. It would have been nice to see those two racing among elite peers at least. Top 15 or so at NXN were peers at least. FL has always been unique in xc since it was always intended to be the 40 best individuals, period.---A true elite high school meet.
----No having to watch 4th 5th 6th 7th "team" runners finishing 4 minutes after the winners.
NXN may have had the top 2 runners this year but the team element suffered for sure. Watching the "top" teams finish so far behind so many individuals revealed the huge disparity in top HS talent from the mortals. This doesn't happen at footlocker where practically every runner is a state champ or nearly.
FL will still be more interesting to watch even without Oakley and Clinger because all the talent, 1 - 40 is top notch.
Wait. Isn't Worley running FL? Should he not be the favorite?

I'm going to wait, and watch the reruns, the same that I did for NXN.
