How to approach a restaurant after food poisoning?

Happens all the time. Tell them exactly what you wrote here. Just dont threaten, insult etc...they need to know.

Not true, can be anywhere from right after eating to the next morning in my experience

That's definitely not true. It can come in a few hours but can also take longer-even up to 24 hours or longer. sounds like food poisoning to me. Yeah I would just go in/call and tell them what you had and that you got sick. I'm not sure what they will do beyond that but at least you notified them.

This sounds like the same kind of food poising that urban legend says that Rod Stewart suffered when he ate "sushi" with the lads.

Absolutely untrue. Staphylococcus enterotoxin and Bacillus cereus can cause poisoning ~ 24h after exposure.

And yes, fp can certainly hit later than 3h. In fact, typically i would guess.

I had some bad green chili and didn't get sick until about 30 hours afterward. Another guy that ate it at the same time was sick about 16 hours afterward.

That's the best way. Just BURY THAT FUKKING PLACE AND RUN THEM OUT OF TOWN because of one incident they may or may not have been able to control.

I got food poisoning at a Subway in 1987, and I've never eaten any of their food since. Sometimes I take my kids there, but the smell still makes me queasy.

Call the health department. Likely others will have gotten food poisoning from them and will have reported it. The health department will address the issue.

When my entire family got food poisoning from a steakhouse we called the health department and numerous other individuals had got food poisoning from the restaurant and reported it as well. It was tracked down to improper handling of the salads.
