I just ran around 3 flat in a 1000 off of no speedwork so I'm looking to break 5 in the next month or so.
How fast could you run other events when you broke 5?

Note: I went on to specialize in the 100, which ended up hurting the 800 and above a bit.
I was slow af when I broke 5.

My first sub 5 mile was a 4:42. I ran 5:01 as a freshman and then didn't run a mile sophomore year until May when I was in much better shape.
I moved up from shorter distances
400 - 56 (55 relay) indoors
800 - 2:08
1600 debut - 4:53
had done around 19:20 for 5K solo time trial the year before (i.e., ~18:40 for 3 miles)
2:12 880
10:43 2 mile
then ran 4:58
