I was looking through some threads this morning and noticed that Tinman is mentioned in 3 of them and they are about 3 different athletes (Pearson, Ping, Hunter).
Is Tinman really coaching Pearson and Ping? I might give his CV stuff a try this year.

Yes, he is coaching both Ping and Pearson. Ping has been with him since March and Pearson for several months, not sure how many exactly. I think since he finished at CU.
In one of his last posts here he said that his athletes train at a variety of paces.
But even if his system does sub max pace no faster than 10k, I give him credit for what he is doing, and has accomplished.
Ryan Ping, the 40 year old father, said he was doing the same training as Grace but it did not make him faster.
Here's two other family members
57 Megan Ping Park City, UT 917 18:43 6:02 F 35-39/1 F-39 3 18:43 81.24%
71 Lauren Ping Park City, UT 919 19:13 6:11 F 10-13/1 F-11 6 19:21 88.02%
Perhaps the genetic material is on the female side, and its responding to the 7000 foot training stimulus.
You would have to separate out the improvement in seconds at 5k, and the date they moved to altitude, and when the red blood cells came on line.
