Sub-13.30. Otherwise it's not a pro 5k career
Sub 19
The running godz set forth in 1973 a 7 minute pace or better is required for entry into their kingdom. Therefore a time of 21: 42 is required to remove the hobbyjogger label and replace it with hobbyrunner.
Sub 18:20 (which is roughly the world record for a 5k race-WALK.)
As THE D1 hobby jogger I feel that I'm most qualified to answer this question the answer is simple if you're faster than me you're legit and if you're slower you suck D

This really isn't hard. If you aren't running professionally, you are running as a hobby. Therefore, hobbyjogger.

Sub 60. Seriously.

Somebody has run a 5k pr of 21:41...
The hobby jogger label isn't based on time, it's what you do with your running. Hobby joggers just do fun runs and try to win the costume contest, if you are serious about consistent training, improving PRs, and beating people, you are not a hobby jogger.
Bs my or is 18:21 and that is running fast with a sprint 400 finish
GOBBLE GOBBLE MOTHERFUCKERS!!!!

Can we get age-adjusted times for that?
Thanks

This is how I feel. There are different levels of hobby joggerdom. Someone tht runs in the 18:xx range and trains consistently is more of a "runner" than the 30 year old male that runs a 28 minute 5k with his giant headphones on. One is actually training and competing in a sport

geez...I can understand the "pro athlete" career, I was looking for more of the transition from hobby jogger to runner. We only have one race a year when people get times like that around here.
If you leave Letsrun and do something like, oh, go outside, there is no Hobby Jogger label.

No they don't. Of course I have run my share of races in costumes, but I have also won my share of races too. I won 5 trail races this summer. I won 4 road races last summer. (gets harder every year to cherrypick races I can win) At my age I have to pretty much be racing to not be jogging. (under 7 minute pace).
I am PROUD!! to call myself a hobbyjogger.

But that was the correct answer. If you're not a pro, it's a hobby. If you're looking for a softer definition, it's exactly what OvO said. You can have a 22:00 runner that trains seriously and cares about improving. They're a runner. It's not at all about speed once you get in to the fake definition.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
