I swear it seems like this may be the case. I am looking to buy some new shoes and for a good pair I will spend $100, but lately it seems ALL of them are like $120+. What's worse is that when I shop on RunningWarehouse.com, even with my running club's 15% discount, the discount is "restricted by manufacturer" (this didn't use to be the case a couple of years ago for Brooks Running shoes but they got greedy it looks like).
What's going on in the running shoe market? I don't think I am being a cheapskate as I'm still very willing to spend $85-100 or so per pair and get 2-3 good pairs of running shoes, but I think $120-$150 for a new pair of HOKAs or Brooks, especially with NO DISCOUNT ON RUNNING WAREHOUSE DUE TO MANUFACTURER RESTRICTIONS (according to runningWarehouse) is getting a bit ridiculous....
