I was going to buy a garman fr 225, but I got an employee pass to the nike employee store and I hear everything is 50% off retail. I've always heard the nike watches aren't that great, but at 50% off, do they look better? Are any of them worth looking in to?

All Nike electronics are crap. Period. Why would you buy a watch from an apparel company. I was tempted one time when I was at the employee store and my friends warned me not to - they said they never last more than a year. I'm glad i listened. Even at 90% off they are overpriced.
You aren't going to find any Nike watches at the Employee Store. They are discontinued. They have the new Nike Apple watches there, but since they aren't Nike products they aren't discounted.
I had 2 Nike Sportwatches over 4 years until the last one quit working and I actually liked it quite a bit. I replaced it with a TomTom Runner for $89 and it does everything that I need. It's also compatible with the Nike+ software

You speak the truth. They had a table set up with a guy peddling them. I asked how much and the cheapest was $350

What do you recommend? I like the idea of optical heart sensor without a strap and cadence without a foot pod. I also hear garmin has an awesome warranty
Also, I may have got out of control with the shoes. I bought 3 pairs of Pegasus 33 at $55 each and 2 pairs of vomero at $70.

I have a Mio Fuse. I only use it for HRM and for that it works quite well. Works in the pool for pool running as well.
