I ran my last 5k of the league season today. Today was going to be my effort to break 16 and I was feeling confident until I looked up the weather and it said it was going to be 95 degrees today. It sure felt like sub 16 pace and because I didn't get any mile splits, I thought I was. When I heard I ran a 16:40 I was shocked. For reference, I ran 16:50 3 weeks ago on the same course and it felt like a jog. Does the hot and dry weather really effect my time that much, or is something else effecting me?
