Oh that's right, he was injured most likely due to his overracing indoors, while Bekele was winning two World XC golds off three weeks of training, two more than Cragg will ever win.

Did Cragg bang your girlfriend or something?
loser
Why the anger? Any win over KB is worthy of celebration and as he said ,it is unlikely to happen again in the forseeable future.

I concur.
BekeleAdvocate is, in every sense of the word, a loser.
No, he showboated after Bekele miscounted the laps in a race due to his incredible grief.
If this post gets yanked, I just don't know what to say, because people can come on here and make drug accusations left and right, and to me this is a much more legit topic than that. Sorry the truth hurts.
No, he tweaked his back on the plane ride from Euro Indoors to Arkansas.
And no he didn't showboat after his victory - he was just really elated. Listen if you cross the finish line first the next time you race against the 5k and 10k WR holder in a supposed 3000m WR bid if you won't be a bit ecstatic. He wasn't trying to rub Bekele's nose in anything, and his comments post-race prove that.
mate..you are a LIAR if you say u wudnt show boat
I was at the Boston meet. I watched the race from the front row. Remind me again, how exactly did Cragg "showboat"?
I disagree.
Bekeke was obviously upset. You could see this on the starting line.
A great amount of humility was in order.

The truth does hurt, and the truth is, you are a loser.
I'm sorry; you can begin feeling emotional pain now.
Cragg's post-race comments were more gracious than his post-race demeanor, I'll give him that. But I can confidently swear to God that I would not have lifted my arms in triumph had I beaten Bekele that day. I would have crossed the line and immediately turned around to embrace Bekele, and I would've told him immediately that I did not deserve the victory and that it was a sham. I also would've raised his arm for the crowd.
But that's just me. Bekele just completed his fourth consecutive double XC gold, so who really cares at this point, clearly he isn't fretting about it. But I just wanted to bring it up again because of all of the annoying Cragg fans that so brutally criticized me for my opinion after I came home from the meet.
Cragg is a class act. Any suggestion to the contrary is rubbish and, at best, reeks of ignorance and more likely comes from jealousy and/or stupidity. If you actually knew either Cragg or Bekele I suspect that you would find they have a mutual respect for the other.
I'm not saying he isn't a great guy - perhaps he just made one mistake. But his post-race behavior was a mistake in my opinion.
And for everyone telling me to shut up, I'm going to keep responding as long as people keep responding to me - do what you wish.
If you are thinking about someone else's loss during your race chances are you aren't going to win, so I sincerely doubt your scenario above would ever happen. Cragg raised his arms because yeah he ran awesome, stuck with someone he normally would have been gapped by 10seconds and luckily came through in the end.
There are tons of athletes that have had to deal with deaths of parents and loved ones before championships. Mutola lost her dad before world indoors, Morceli lost his brother a few weeks prior to World Champs which he came in 4th. Maybe you should criticize ElG for taking a victory lap and kissing the ground and air.
Maybe the next time Bekele goes through some tragedy, all the other athletes should be told to let him win. This would probably make you happy.
i think YOU're the only one who cares about this alleged slight. i really doubt Bekele got aggravated by the incident or noticed for that matter. if it were such a big deal i doubt geneti would have been training with Cragg prior to the Arkansas 3000m a few weeks later.
The key difference is that Bekele MISCOUNTED THE LAPS. The victory by Cragg was clearly a joke. No different than if Bekele had been DQed for not tucking in his singlet.
Lets say you're racing Bekele. He's beating you by a decent amount, and inexplicably stops a lap short. He has recently had to deal with a VERY WELL PUBLICIZED tragedy. You're telling me the first thing that popped into your head wouldn't be "Damn, he really isn't himself today?" You're telling me the first thought in your mind would be "HELL YES!!! BEKELE JUST MISCOUNTED THE LAPS, I AM GOING TO KILL THIS BITCH?" If so, then fine, think that way if you want to, but you won't get far in life with that kind of attitude.
One thing I want to make clear is that although I do think Cragg acted in poor taste, I am really directing these comments to the people that REFUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT HE COULD'VE ACTED BETTER, not Cragg himself. Shit happens, people make mistakes without thinking, but what really upsets me is the group of people who refuses to acknowledge that he could've been a little more gracious, and who seem to think Cragg's victory was legit and deserved celebration.

By the sounds of things you'd have pinned Bekele to the track and stuck your tongue in his ear while vigorously rubbing yourself up against his leg.
Just because you jerkl off to a picture of Bekele every night doesn't mean everyone else has to. Cragg beat him. get over it.
I'm sure someone in France at the weekend was having a bad day or had a recent death in the family, that didn't stop Bekele from celebrating.
Inconsiderate bastard.

You have GOT to be kidding.
Big difference: whoever underwent a tragedy shortly before worlds didn't miscount the laps in an obvious state of mental anguish only to lose the race on a fluke.

What exactly did he do that was in poor taste?
