Henwood is a good guy I hear. It will be weird her not having a team around her, but it seems that's what she's used to. I'm sure there are some men she can do workouts with.

Saw Cain running in Central Park last week - she looked like she was having a good time, with a pack of 6 or so.

It is what many already thought happened when she moved back home to the east coast a year and a half already. The big deal occurred when she moved. This tells us what really happened when she moved and confirms what many here already thought. I don't expect to see back to her former level any time soon. Progress would be nice to see but getting back may take years if it ever happens. Unfortunately many of the gifted runners only get a few years in the spotlight and then their performance stops improving or it starts to drop off. Body changes or injuries often take their tolls.

I think she's making a wise decision on her future career. Nothing wrong w/that. All the best to her.

20 is a full grown adult. That takes no additional guts.

Judging from the accompanying picture to blog post, she looks healthy and slender. I have an intuition she was overworked and is recovering nicely. Like the body before and after a good nights rest after a long day. Health is of first importance. No use destroying ones health by trying to milk performance that isn't there.

It's also a sign that her best days are behind her and that puberty kicked her right in her ample #ss. It happens to the majority of top female junior runners. She just happened to be particularly fast. Not anymore. 20 years from now she'll be like the rest of us, hobby jogging and trying to convince her kids that she was really a good runner at one time.

She'll be back. Wish her the best. Very exciting talent.

Are you really an adult, and not a 14yo troll? If so, you're a bitter person. Wow.

I always thought she was an 800/1500 runner. Cut the volume, focus on speed. Forget the 3000s and 5ks. She has run sub 2 on little specific 800 training.

There is no such thing as being a type of runner. You are what you train for. She did specific 800m training. Everyone in NOP does lots of speed and sprint work. They aren't running sub 2, 3:50i, and 3:26 by accident.
