i've had tendonitis for 2 1/2 months...i took a few weeks easy, a few weeks off, and now I can only manage 5 miles/day without pain (was doing 70-80 consistently prior to injury). I've always had bad ankles, and this (in theory) is putting more stress on my achilles.
i'm doing eccentric calf raises, with a backpack full of weights, every day, to strengthen the damn achilles. Has anybody had success in curing persistent tendonitis through eccentric strengethening exercises? (time off didnt help, so strengthening is all I can think of to do. the swelling isnt too bad, but the achilles FEELS weak.)
gimme your .02 if you please...
