Ok, so I'm still deciding on a pacing strategy for the weekend's Chicago Marathon. Usually I have this dialed in by now, but a really hot and humid summer made me a little less sure of my fitness heading into October. I'm thinking I'm in pretty good shape, though. My training went well, though, and I'm trying to gauge whether I can go sub-3. Here are the stats:
PR of 3:06 from last fall, finishing w/ some left in the tank
60-75 mile weeks
Four 20 mile runs, w/ two at 6:46 average pace
Weekly 6-8 mile tempos in the 6:10-6:20 range
Weekly track sessions
My long runs all all cut downs, so I start 20 at like 7:05 pace and finish at 6:20 for 6:46 overall
Haven't run any tuneup races, but my HM PR from a few years ago is 1:25 flat.
Thanks for you help!
