i know i'll take some abuse (i've seen some negative threads) but 9 miles out of the box and my feet wanted to keep running. i wish the rest of me felt as good.

What kind are they? Are they as flemsy as others say? Where bought?
Tell them Wayne sent you.
i got the harmony, red ones. neutral, no stability stuff. flimsy? i hadn't heard that. they fit like a glove, at least for me. plenty flexible. when i started my run i tried to think of how they felt. after about a mile and a half i had to wait for traffic and forgot about trying to figure out how they felt until i was done. that was the cool thing. i kinda forgot they were there. i know it's dumb but that was it.
oh. got them online. bay stater, wayne posted the link. i wear a 9 1/2 adidas boston and their site said to get a half size larger. the 10 fit great.
OK. I'm going to try them. I been looking at them for a while. From the descriptions on the site, I think the Symettry might work. We'll see.
I'll mention Wayne(Bay Stater).
Just received my new pair of Proportions yesterday. I have been running in the older model for over a year. I really loved the old ones. The sheet EVA could really take a beating. After one run, I seem to like the new version just as much. We will see how the compression molded version holds up to the miles. I'm pretty sure you can only get them from the vitruvian website.
E-mailed Vitruvian and as I suspected, he recommended the Symmetry fit to replace my Saucony Grid Trigon.Said I should have them on Friday. I'm hopeful but I admit a little skeptical.
Hey Bay Stater, Chuck said HI!
Matt,Wayne and Brad thanks for your endorsement and support.
Mark, don't knock 'em til you tried 'em. Let me know how they work.
Chuck

Vitruvian,
Glad to see some new players in the game. The minimalist wave seems to be spreading...
Who are the principal designers in the company? Former Nike, adidas, or Fila guys?
Madein_82, yes we've got a flat and a few other innovative designs we're working on. Being that we're self financed, we need to grow the businees a bit before we can take them to production.
van, thanks for the encouragement. We're not trying to be "minimalist" as much as we're trying to simplify something that has gotten near rediculous, running shoe design. I'm the pricipal designer as well as everything else in the company. I've got 17 years at the first place you mentioned and 8 years at a mixture of other noted firms.
If I could have convinced others of my idea, I wouldn't have had to start my own company.
they look like a good shoe and I'm tempted to buy a few pairs from you, very interested in the idea of a Vitruvian flat, do you sell many shoes overseas yet?
How long do you think it will be before the flats hit the site? I'm a 10.5 in a Nike Skylon and a 10 in a Newbalance 834, what do you think I'd be in a harmony?
Cheers
Hi Bert. Our only sales overseas have been to the UK and military personnel serving in various places.
Since we're dependent on sales of the existing products, I don't see the flats being available until Spring'06 at the earliest.
You'd be an 11 in the Harmony, new & old Proportion models. A 10.5 in either of the Symmetries. Thanks for looking.
Which model comes closest to the Pegasus?
Thanks.
Out.
Glad to help.
Keep the little guy in business.

I sent the Harmony to the Pegasus-wearing wife of a customer. I heard yesterday that she loves them and finally understands why her husband has been raving about his Proportions for the past year.
Remember to order the Harmony 1/2 size larger than your Pegasus.
I have ran in my Proportion's since October 2003 (well, rotated them with lots of other shoes), but they are still in great shape.
One thing you all will notice is a close-to-the-road feel, especially if you are a forefoot or midfoot striker.
Been Pegasus wearer, until they got bastardized in 2002 (the 2004 version ain't much better).
I wear 9 for all shoes and also my Proportions are size 9.
Hey Vitruvian- I made a paper on your company by the end of 2003 during my grad studies (remember- advertising project?). You never responded after I sent you proposal and plan... Anyway I got 98% for that, so all is cool :)
Keep up the good work.
Martin
I had never heard of these shoes before. I just ordered
a pair and am looking forward to trying them. I hope the
ride and durability are as good as the price. Plus free
shipping?!
