Enough of the Zante, I think the NB 1500 is in a different league in terms of greatness and fills a gap I never been able to since the hyperspeed 4/5. Amazingly comfortable and responsive while having enough cushioning to go really long.
The shoe is absolutely amazing and may be the greatest of all-time.
I agree: best flat/uptempo shoe I've ever owned.
I use stability shoes, so the touch of support provided by the medial post is excellent.
Plus the materials of the upper just feel excellent - very high quality.

Looks good, never seen this before. Thanks for posting. I got a pair of Zante v1s as casuals (because I hurt my foot in my 1970s styled adidas casuals) and found them to be good, better than what I thought.
I need a shoe that is slightly lighter than the Zante (250g) but I won't have to worry about my Achilles as much as in my old NB 240 RCs.
Its a too heavy flat meant for overweight people.

I run in 4mm drop shoes all the time as they helped me ditch heel striking. Does the 10mm drop feel like 10mm?
I'm a life-long ASICS advocate and have been wearing the "GT" series shoes for as long as I can remember.
I don't know much about shoes, other than I like the same ASICS that I've been buying for the past 10-15 years. I see that Strava is giving away a pair of any NB shoes for anyone that can negative split a marathon this fall. I plan on doing so.
What NB shoe would be the best replacement for the ASICS GT-2000? Would it be the NB 1500? Thanks for any/all input.

The fellow who said that the Brooks Ghost would be a good replacement for the GT-2000 is just messing with you.
Comparable models from New Balance would include:
- 860v6 or 860v7 - NB's directly equivalent model. Slightly firmer and significantly more supportive than the GT-2000.
- Fresh Foam Vongo - Just as supportive as the GT-2000, but it does not feature a traditional medial post. Instead, the medial side of the shoe is "overstuffed," meaning that the cushioning is higher and firmer on one side than on the other. The Vongo isn't quite as squishy as the GT-2000, but it is also nicely cushioned.
- Vazee Prism - Not truly a directly comparable model, but it's an excellent option to explore. The Prism is as supportive as the GT-2000, but much firmer and more responsive.
I don't think most people would be comfortable doing all their runs in the 1500. I'd reserve it for speedwork and road racing. It's the best flat out there for those who require medial posting.
The closest competitors on the market would be Saucony's Fastwitch and Asics' GT Racer.

1500 has only 6mm
the 1500v2 without the medial post would be the GOAT.
This shoe gave me a stress fracture. NEVER BUY IT. IT GIVES YOU STRESS FRACTURES!

Not that good of a shoe, short term reps maybe but longer tempos hurt in this shoe.
