The top reason I hate places like Boston, Chicago, and Philadelphia that cry about the years between their title droughts..... when was the last time Buffalo even won a title at something big, anything?
Let's recap...
"wide right"
19-20 loss to the Giants
followed by 3 straight SuperBowl losses
then there was the "No Goal"
against Dallas in the Stanely Cup Finals game 7
There was the "Music City Miracle" against the Titans
with that sweet forward backward pass
then Saturday Night there was the culmination as the UB Bulls men's basketball team 22-9 on the year went to their first ever MAC championship game, after their first ever 20 win season, with an RPI of 27 in the nation, gave up a 19 point lead, and lost in the last .5 seconds of OT when Ohio hit a shot to win 80-79, and of course they didn't just make a jump shot, they missed a lay up and some tool jumping around knocks it in.
On to sunday when the entire MAC conference was snubbed out of a second bid to the Dance, but conferences like the ACC and Big East can have infinite bids.
Nevermind the bulls were 5-23 two years ago, 17-12 last year, and 22-9 this year.
REMARKABLE turn around for the program, but as all things Buffalo do....they fall short again, again, again, again. And like all things Buffalo we'll just keep trying again agian again again.
one day.
