Where was the vitriol that Semenya faces back during the many years that Maria Mutola was the dominant 800 meter runner on the scene?
Neither Semenya, Niyonsaba, nor Wambui have run as fast as she did.
Also worth noting- Niyonsaba and Wambui- despite their "superhuman" intersex athletic ability, have cracked even into the top 25 all-time.

While there has been much dismay and joking, I think there has been little "vitriol" regarding Semenya.
She was fortunate to compete in an era when there were enough doped-to-the-gills Russians and E Euros to conceal her advantage (being XY).
She was coaching Semenya for the 2012 Olympics. Also is a "lesbian" who had an affair with Kelly Holmes. Basically an "intersex" (likely XY) pioneer. Set the stage for Semenya, Wambui, et al.
The earliest race I have found on the internet with Mutola is the Pre 1 Mile in 1991 when PSP was ridiculously giving elbows and arms. SFH gave it back and won that race. PSP gave MM an arm too and MM threw up her hands. It was such BS. PSP is seen is quite a few videos on the internet now and she always seemed to be in a "fight" with someone.

I was a teenager when she was dominating, and there is no woman that looks like that. To muscular in the shoulders, arms and chest to be a woman.

I do love this. When it comes to bathrooms, the only thing that matters is the "parts." But when it comes to running a race, apparently the same people think that the "parts" are not important.

Given what we know about Semenya, Wambui, and Niyonsaba, plus her "coincidental" attraction to females, I would say that there is a better than 80% chance that she bears a Y-chromosome.

The alleged mannishness of Mutola is a bit overstated. She also wasn't very big. Muscular, but not very big at all.
I don't think Niyonsaba or Mutola are men, just really ugly women.
Semenya and Wambui, those are dudes.
