Won't that be Charlie P-T's second mile of this week? He's also running the Canadian 5k champs next week. Ouch.

It might be easier to find people who didn't run earlier this week. Muir, Simpson, Coburn, Garcia and Grace all ran in Zurich. And C P-T's going to be racing a lot of the same folks he raced at the Hoka One.
Centro got stuck in traffic on the way to an Oriole's game. -
My picks are Murphy and Muir. Nate Brannen and Katie Mackey are my dark horse picks.
-
Centro went from Rio to Europe for a 1k, back to NYC for this mile, and then he is going to Brussels to try to get the American record? It does not seem likely with all that travel and limited training.
-
Would have been nice to see Mikey Brannigan or Drew Hunter mix it up with these guys, but Mikey's down in Rio for the Paralympics
-
Many of the men ran at Long Island on Wed. Simpson and Muir ran 2 days prior in Europe. Some are just hanging on at the end of a long season. But every year this is the case and even so, every year the race produces fast times and great entertainment.
Murphy and Centro for top 2. After that it will be interesting. I like Alexander. He is extremely consistent. Never seems to have a bad day and every now and then shocks the hell out of everyone. If he has one of those races like he had at Tracktown a month ago, he could place top 3. Otherwise, Blankenship and Robby are in great shape coming off the Games. O'Hare got 2nd last year although it was a semi-slow year last year.
Winning time will be 3:51 to 3:52. Maybe even 3:50.... -
Centro wins in 3:52
Murphy a close 2nd
3rd Blankenship
4th Alexander
5th Merber
6th Thiboutot
7thJenkins
8th Andrews
9th Palmer
10th O'Hare -
Muir and Simpson especially have to be tired after 2 fast races in Europe within a week and the racing and travel from Rio. I would be surprised if they have much left at this point.
-
Centro, Murphy, Blankenship, Andrews, Jenkins, Alexander, Merber
-
Simpson will win even tho she's wasted. She's pure tough. Centro and Murphy at the wire. Centro FTW. It's his event...for now.

I'd say it's hard to argue against Simpson, but Muir's showed some grit as well the last few weeks.
If those two are too pooped to pop, I'm going with Eccleston or Uceny, who were so close in Eugene. -
Could we have a dark horse winner in either race?
-
USA and Britain only, not one African? Not even an African American by the looks of it.

Nice try, but no, that's not it.
I take it you aren't of a reader or geographer, eh? -
If you're not British, what's the Queen of Britain doing on your currency?

I don't think Centro is African American. I think his mother is from the Caribbean
or something. I'll bet she's sick of that loud mouthed Matt Sr. -
She's also the Queen of Canada and Queen of Australia.
