Well, that's your opinion that he was viciously attacked by a White House director. The articles that you posted claim it is questionable who attacked who - and they are taking each other to court. Why not let the courts settle it ? Your buddy is suing for medical bills for an injured hand (40K ? - what?) - so he'll just pocket the gofundme money if his claims are true ?
.. and why didn't he have insurance ? Surely as a student he qualified for Obamacare. Too cheap to pay for government subsidized insurance ? Don't look to me to bail him out. That is why you have insurance. Reminds of someone I know last year whose house burned down and she didn't have insurance. She claimed it was too expensive and said it was $380 a month. I called an insurance agent in her area and gave her the address and said it was $800 for the year. She started a gofundme account to rebuild her house and still raised $10,000 although she wanted $150,000.
I'm sorry this happened to your friend. But, the whole story is not out there yet - and if his story is true then he will get his medical expenses paid by Mendoza. Or, he should have had insurance. Sorry to be harsh. But reality bites sometimes.
