Yeah it sucks that no one else could stick with him at the Olympic trials. All this advancing on performance! The USA committee should have taken someone who had done something before like the former silver medalist.
You are a sad little person. Meb was second in our trials and has been one of the most consistent performers over the years. It was not his day today, but neither was it for many others. Two of the three Kenyans didn't even finish dude. Grow up.
Totally a quality run. And Meb beat the third Ethiopian and the second and third Kenyans in addition to a 100+ other Olympians.
He earned his spot and he ran well. Not out of this world unbelievably well, but he put in a good race. Good for him.
It wasn't his fault - as it sounds like, he had an equipment issue with his Skechers not having proper traction. They were slipping on the pavement causing his hamstrings to tighten.

I believe if you adjust meb's splits for the 7 times he had to stop to puke during the race he actually finished right behind Galen and got 4th
