Y'all... Lochte is a total douche, but...

I don't think Lochte could ever be "white privileged." Everybody despises the guy. With good reason.

I find it interesting that within minutes it seemed there was an official response from the Olympic Org that "he was absolutely not robbed". And the same thing occurred with RIO police. How would they know so fast?

My take is that Lochte was a complete drunk DB. But the spinmeisters immediately desired to sweep this under the rug. Even though they knew that there was some truth in the event that was being recalled by a drunk.

So both sides are spinning. Lochte omitting the drunken vandalism part of the story and the Rio police omitting the private security shakedown.

I gotta be honest. When I read that they beat the door in to take a drunken piss it took me back to college days. I remember being in places where you could not just pull it out and take a leak and the pain is excruciating. And lets say you finally find that restroom. Yes!!!!!!!

But it is Locked! And you have to walk back to the line in the convenience store to get a key!

Very much doubt the security guard 'knew exactly who he was'. He really isn't famous outside of the US. It would be unusual to find somebody who would recognise him.

Did anybody notice one of the security guards exited the restroom after the swimmers? Maybe that guard was on the shitter and heard the whole shebangs or pissing contest!

I'm sure he made sure everyone there knew who he is. That's how drunken egomaniacs operate.

There is this very American not in that being, "Drunk While White & Male" is a perfectly acceptable condition, and anything untoward that occurs is well....boys being boys.

If 4 black guys in the US were drunk and broke down a door they'd be shot dead.

The swimmers may have been dumb, but they were probably drunk.

Everything Lochte said in his statement turned out to be true. He just left out the part about knocking over a sign and peeing on the floor.

The only mistake he made was stopping at a gas station that has a security guard. Surely the taxi driver could have picked a safer gas station.

America may have its police problems, but by hosting a global event and putting its security and police force front and center, Rio invited scrutiny. It's not fair to compare the corruption of our domestic police forces (whose corruption is largely internal) to Brazil's police forces (whose corruption knows no bounds based on anecdotal evidence).
