That's crazy
That's crazy
I wish LetsRun had a down vote capability...
We wen't 1-2-3, British gals got 4 & 7
'British'
It is kind of ridiculous that those twins were raised in the US system but exercised British citizenship and made an Olympic Final.
Sorta 1-2-3-4-7 but they had on a different vest.
Two plastic Brits?

They're sisters *not twins my bad* and mom is British so they are running for the country that gives them the best shot of making an Olympics, USA is a 100h titan
If we count this as four wins we can pretend USA are as good as Jamaica and Kenya at track.
If it teams were not limited to 3 USA would have had 8 in the final. Maybe Porter or Ofili would have snuck in.
Plus the world record holder who didn't make it there.
Hey the USA women should go for the shuttle hurdle relay record....just add the world record holder!
From Michigan (Uni of Michigan), mom is British.
Porter represented the United States as a junior, but began representing Britain aged 23 in 2010. She didn't know the British national anthem at the 2012 indoor Worlds.
Ofili chose to represent Britain last year aged 21.
Both of them had to gall to thank Britain for lottery funding live on British tv after that race.
The Ofili sisters (Porter) were born in Michigan, went to Ypsilanti HS, graduated from University of Michigan, used their Nigerian parents British residency to compete for Great Britain. They live, work, and train in Ann Arbor...they were US citizens at birth. They couldn't make the US team in the 100m hurdles, we're too strong, and here we are with US athletes going 1-2-3-4-7...only two run for GB.

What race were you watching? Tiffany Ofili (Porter) and Cindy Ofili were 4th and 7th.
US 1-2-3-4-7

Simply amazing.
Maybe there's something wrong with me but I couldn't help thinking about how fast mine and any of the medalists' kids would be.
Did Rollins say, "you're still a b1tch" to one of the GB hurdles? It was after the race was over and the GB hurdler congratulated her?
Tiffany Porter said she would retire if her sister beat her. http://heavy.com/sports/2016/08/jeff-tiffany-porter-married-bio-team-usa-hurdler-husband-wife-team-usa-gbr-rio-jeffrey-cindy-olifi-instagram/
Three from the same team? That's dope.
You cannot begin to understand how proud I was to see two Brits in an Olympic final and how gutted I was to see then both miss out on a medal. Not!

I agree with Joel. And the Army Kenyans are American and Alexi Pappas is Greek. They could change to be fair and everyone with the A standard is in regardless of nation and then fill out with top B standard runners one per nation and then add a few universality runners in the 800 down.
I prefer the current system though as it is a balance of fairness to the athletes and good national representation. The best you can do is win all three medals so who really cares if the fourth fastest person stays home devastated.
sisters cindy ofili and tiffany porter compete for britain, but are really americans.they were born in usa,and live and train in usa.actually cindy did amazingly well,i thought,to get 4th.
