I've heard from lots of people that the Miler is the lightest spike on the market. However surely the Lanang ST is lighter, seeing as though its the same spike with a lighter upper? Anybody know the weights of these shoes?

I think the eastbay cataloglist the miler at 4.8 ounces and the lanang at 5.6 for the standard size, but those have been known to be off.
Thought the vents were the lightest?
The ventulus' were 4.8 also. So, the Miler and Ventulus' are the lightest distance spike so far.
jasari?
The miler is a better shoe. I have both.
I don't understand, how can you say the Miler is better than the ventulus, surely they're meant for totally different purposes. Ones a 800/1500 spike, the others a 3k-10k spike - i.e. if you were planning on running 10,000m you'd hardly call the miler a better spike.
Back to the original question though, the lanang ST is basically the milers spike plate with a lighter upper (it has lots of holes cut out). How can it be heavier, it doesn't make sense.
lanang does seem like a feather compared to the miler but the material used for the lanang is a kind of stiff netting(if anyone has vent plus you get the idea), milers have that super light mesh crap on the back and it does have leather at the front but the lanang has all leather on the insidewhere the heel is. yea kind of odd..
Benita Johnson uses the Lanang (same spike plate as the Miler) for the 10000m without too many troubles.
The miler is indeed lighter than the lanang. It is also just barely lighter than the ventulus (.1 oz at size 10.5).
Sorry for not being clear. I was stating that the miler is better than the lanang... I wore lanang for xc, miler for mid distance. the miler in general in a much more comfortable shoe. It fits like a glove.
