Didn't the LRC brain trust decide it would be very hot in Rio during the games?
Considerable rain here in the stadium. All lanes already very wet. It is possible that competition will be delayed. If competition takes place rudisha will have a hard time. Race will be slow
He's crying right now

Exactly what I was just thinking! He hates the rain!

Nah.
He's gonna wave to the crowd for 100m, then trip, get back up, and hammer it home for gold.
It is not just raining, it is a deluge.
I have a feeling an American will be in the hunt for a medal. Murphy's hard close might be able to net him some hardware. Berian's front running could also net him some hardware.

We said the opposite - it wouldn't be that hot. It was hot this morning but 66 for the 10k final was ideal..
It's winter in Rio.
Don't worry about Rudisha. I'm going to make a few calls and get this baby delayed.
Beat me to it.
He hasn't run well in wet conditions historically. Makes it more interesting.
Is the final still going on at the scheduled time - 9:45 EST
Lol nearly every person on this thread was so wrong in their predictions. Rudisha won easily with a fast time.
Yeah but in all fairness it was a night of extremes - the rain was so extreme they had to stop the entire program and then when it stopped the track recovered pretty well in the hour or so of dryness.
Had it not been pouring down and just light consistent rain well who knows? We have seen issues for Rudisha before in those conditions. The great thing is that never happened and Rudisha ran a brilliant race to confirm himself as the undisputed GOAT in the toughest event in the business.
