Emma Coburn wins bronze medal in new American record of 8:07.12!!

She ran a very smart race - great event. Congrats to her.

Big congrats to Coburn. Smart running, and a great effort.

Not short. It's well known as a track specifically designed for the 10k ,,,, I mean the 400 ... I mean just the right bounce for the steeplechase.

Three things:

1. Title should be "EMMA MF COBURN"

2. If she got Hyvin for silver I would've gotten some much needed points for a perfect steeple prediction

3. THAT WAS AWESOME!! Gutsy performance to chase down the bronze and nearly get that silver

Huge race for Emma. Huge congrats. American record. I was hoping she would catch silver, but she ran a smart race by not over extending herself chasing the crazy pace of Jibet with 4 laps to go. Huge congrats.

AAARRRGH!!!!

I got online late today. I decided I'd watch the men's heats, then watch the women before knowing the results. With two laps left in the 3rd men's heat, the NBCOlympics feed kicks me out and goes to some other sport. I guess when the live feed ends in real time, that's it, and you can't scroll around the feed anymore. DAMMIT!!! I cannot find the feed, and cannot watch the race.

I'd say I look forward to watching it on TV tonight, but I won't hold my breath. DAMMIT!!!!
