Gatlin- 9.87

Think this will be the downfall of bolt. I say he doesn't go sub 9.8, maybe even pulls up early with that hamstring trouble. I like Bromell, but I expect it to be Gatlin or Blake who takes gold, in a 9.7x
Johnson 9.79
Lewis 9.91
Christie 9.98
No way.
He had the worst start of his 100m heat and practically still jogged a 10.07 into a headwind....
At bare MINIMUM he is running low-mid 9.7x.
You just have to compare heats from previous games to get a better understanding.of where he is at.
But all will be revealed in the semi-final!

You mark Gatlin's hypothetical PB, but leave the 9.55 unannotated? Interesting. Are you implying that Bolt is dirty? Refusing to recognize a WR?
Gatlin 9.69
Bolt 9.71
Bromell 9.78
Blake 9.91
DeGrasse 9.91
Gatlin with the upset
I'm modifying my predictions a bit from last time, based on information learned in Round 1, tidbits of information/quotes straight from the athletes, athletes' behavior and body language, typical performances from athletes in past championships in Round 1 compared to their final result, the projected wind, reports from training, any injury issues, psychological advantages/disadvantages, etc.
Usain Bolt 9.71 (previously predicted 9.67)
Justin Gatlin 9.77 (previously predicted 9.75)
Yohan Blake 9.84 (staying with prediction of 9.84)
Andre De Grasse 9.88 (had him out of the top five before, now moving him up).
Trayvon Bromell 9.90 (staying with prediction of 9.90)
Bolt (9.70)
Gatlin (9.76)
De Grasse (9.79)
A non American will win and all the Yanks on LR will say the winner is a doper.

All into a -1.4 m/s headwind
Lemaitre goes home devastated in 4th.
