Crazy to be nearly a minute behind the winner and crush the American record. That race looked like crap on TV with the lapped traffic and lack of competitiveness.
Great race for her, she must've been hurting from very early on with that blistering pace. Gutsy effort!
She'd be sub 30 if it wasn't for all the lapped runners hogging lane 1 like hobby joggers.
Wow! That must have hurt from start to finish! Terrific run!
She ran great, but no, she wouldn't have gained 13 seconds, nice try though.

Isn't it ironic how at the World Championships Molly Huddle was just edged out by Infeld at the finish line.. and now at the Olympics, Infeld is just ahead of American Record Huddle at the finish line, but still has 1 lap to go!! How poetic. LOL

Look at the picture on front page. I hope Infeld feels guilty that she doesnt deserve a medal of any kind. 2016 Huddle would win silver or gold last year. Its funny how much it turned around from beijing to rio.

I felt like she probably was in 30:30 shape. AMybe an outside shot at the AR, but not in a championship race.
But that played out very differently from what I expected. Insane race.
Congrats to Molly. Thankfully she is slowly erasing Shalane's records from the books.
