Very good assessment, I agree with pretty much all of them. Would be interested in seeing something similar for athletes other than the Americans.
I'm surprised you have Eaton at 1:10, that's incredible. There must be some probability that he fouls out of the pole vault or hurdles? When was the last time he entered a competition and screwed up one of the events? Clearly he's got a fantastic record in international competitions...
Just some thoughts:
12-1 on Ameer Webb to medal is pretty fantastic.
If Berian is an okay bet at 14-1 for gold, then Murphy at 33-1 is an incredible steal. There's gotta be enough uncertainty in his potential for that.
2:3 odds on:
If Webb wins a medal, how many WEBB IS BACK, BABY!!!!!!! threads will be started
Over/Under is 7.

You guys realize they're taken from a betting website, not created by the Brojos right?
I think Merrit in the 400 (9 to 2) looks like a pretty good bet, maybe the triple jumpers too

Your list is not complete. Was that intentional or did you forget?

Read the post above yours.

Berian over twice as likely to win as Murphy? Based on what exactly, his 0-2 record against him?

His gold medal from a few months ago...
Your commentary is perfect. At least put imaginary money on it. Let us know how you did.
I'm thinking about actually putting some money down. what's more likely is that I just bet beer/burritos among friends.
Bets I'd take:
Merritt in the 400 (9-2)
Kendricks in the PV (6-1)
Allen in the 110H (7-1)
Centro 1500 (20-1)
those events all are uncertain and much can go wrong. Merritt is obvious, he's the WL at 43.9 and he's won all sorts of medals. Kendricks is the darkhorse, but LaVillenie isn't super consistent and Barber he's had some bad meets this year. Allen because he's the best american right now and that basically means he could win. Centro because he's Centro and 20-1 is not accurate, especially if Kiprop falls in a prelim or something. Manangoi is the obvious #2 but again, who knows.
Ameer Webb should be listed in the 200 not 400.
10-3 that Ashley Spencer medals in the 400IH - sweet action
