Next year I'll be teaching HS, and probably also coaching the distance runners in cross and track. I was wondering if these put pretty big constraints on your ability to train at a higher level (80-100 miles/week). Obviously I want to be a great teacher, and devote plenty of attention to the runners I'll be working with. At the same time, I'd still like to be able train myself to run fast and keep getting faster (but I'll sacrifice this if necessary). So is it necessary? How do you guys fit it in? I'd also like to hear from those of you out there who work a lot of hours in other fields and still find time to train hard. Thanks for any input.
