We know the London DL meet is today and tomorrow. But the race of the week, at least for US fans, is definitely happening in Houston where Matthew Centrowitz will battle Clayton Murphy over 1000.
And it's going to be live on ESPN.
Mega kudos to Paul Doyle for getting track on an national tv during primetime on a channel virtually everyone gets.

I appreciate the lengths you went to to break this down. I'm no math guy, but the equation was cool.
As you mentioned, this is a tuneup and it will be interesting to see how each of them approach it. Is Centro coming off a hard stretch of training? Do they even care about it? Honestly, I do think Centro will care to at least win. I think he definitely wants to squash anybody that may try to come for his undisputed middle distance throne and I think he's got too much pride to get beat by a (recently) college kid.
Maybe I'm wrong, but it should be fun to watch.
Is it a two person race (mano a mano)? Way too late into prime time for me to watch it. : (

Centro's just too experienced and his ego won't let him lose. They're both probably not race sharp anyway. Centro's currently the better runner, but it will just be a battle of who's less tired.
If this was an 800, it would be hard for me to pick, but since it's a little closer to Centro's event, I think he will win.
Duane Solomon will pull an upset.
