Sammy Watson runs great tactical race to neg-split a 2:04. Aayilah Miller, runs a questionable tactical race for silver. Great commentating by Eurosport to point out how much extra Miller had to run due to her balking for the lead at 550m.

Enjoy it.
You won't see the U.S. 1-2 in the 800 again any time soon.
Miller could have closed in 59 if she threw a few elbows

Bump over rojo
Good to see there are some up and comers to ensure Ludlow of her 4th place finish in 2020.
Have they been confirmed as true XX competitors yet?
How come I can't find many final results on the results page - W800, M100, W100?
Indeed. Watson ran a smart race. I had picked them to finish the other way round, but Miller left herself out of it until 70 to go, and had go to the long way round. They might not be used to running in competitive races, and the importance of positioning yourself.
Not sure Miller would have won anyway - Watson looked strong on the day.
Has the US ever gone 1-2 before?

In the WJ 800, no.
The real winner was German Kalis in 4th. Only real woman, non-age cheat non-doper.
