What songs do you listen to before a race?

Great to have any of these songs on before a run/race, and then going round my head for the rest of the day.

I think the question was directed towards fast runners, not middle-aged hobby joggers and their crappy taste in music.

I throw this playlist on shuffle when I warm up for a race, some of the songs are inspirational and some are just hype songs.

Highway to hell is my favorite because it symbolizes how you know the race is going to hurt, but you are still on the highway to hell and you are willing to suffer for your teammates and to run a good time for yourself. Lose yourself is a close second.

I have a couple of go-to's for race day, although i don't make habit out of using music to get "pumped up" for races. Here I a good sounding list for me

The only music you should be listening to is something upbeat with a tempo that gets you in the rhythm to run a cadence of 180+.

Anyone that needs to listen to hard rock, I feel sorry for. That's only going to make you run on pure hate, and we all know how that works out.

Pain for Pleasure by Sum 41 at full volume for maximum hearing loss. But damn does that get the adrenaline flowing.

No idea what you mean. Running on hate works pretty well for me.

If I listen to music before a race its all metal. Lamb of God in particular.
