We all know that people, coaches especially, can get a little emotional sometimes. After all, many of them put their heart and soul into a job that doesn't always pay back dividends. I lucked out with some pretty good ones in hs but then again we weren't very good and the stakes in our league were pretty low.
Now as a hs coach myself I have been tempted sometimes to say some really nasty shxt to kids when they mess up/let you down. I know this shouldn't be my first instinct and that positivity matters.
But I'm curious to hear how coaches have flown off the handle in people's experience--or how you have flown off the handle as a coach.
What was said to you or what did you say? Did it produce any positive result or just make matters worse?
