Alan Webb
Edward Cheserek* (Kenyan)

Anyone else?

Ryun didn't break 9 or 1:50 in HS. lol Ryun ran under 1:50 in a relay once (1:47.7).
Why is there an asterisk and parentheses next to Cheserek?

Possibly because 1) he is not a US citizen and 2) there are doubts about his age
Haha Isaac Cortes of great oak has a 1:50 and 9:00.
Our boy Engels crushed those marks.
1:48.01 and 8:5x if I remember correctly.
Jennings, Stember, Riley

Since you're probably reading this thread, why was the thread on David Torrence's progression deleted?
It was far from the most hostile thing on these boards. (See recent posts about Montano, dozens of posts about Lagat, everything ever about Rupp...)
Will you re-instate it, or at least explain was was wrong with looking at a period of dramatic improvement?

Cause the moderator deletes WAY more stuff than I would. I'll restore it. What was it called?

I'm pretty sure none of those three did.
Andy Powell, Franklin Sanchez, Rupp, Verbiscus, Marc Davis, Bob Kennedy, German Fernandez, AJ Acosta, Ryan Hall, Marcus Chandler, Robby Andrews, Centro
Sharif Karie, Abdizerak Mohammed, Elias Gedyon, Jahtzen Osher
Do not believe either Sanchez or Powell ever ran 1:50 in HS.
Sam Worley from Texas has gone 1:50 and 8:51 for 3200 as a jr in HS.
Stember did not do it but was perfectly capable of it. He ran 9:02 junior year and 1:49 senior year. The 9:02 was one hour after an easy 4:17 if I recall. The 9:02 was also over 3200m not two miles. Mike did not run the 3200 often as we had other guys on the team to cover down.
I'm not asking who was capable of doing it- just who did it.
So he did break one r3tard
