Infeld, Quigley, Frerichs, Houlihan, Flanagan, Cragg ... I think that is every woman on the Bowerman roster and they all made the team. Has anything remotely like that ever happened before?
(Also the Oregon sprint/hurdle crew. Holy moley.)

Also Saina
Is Saina BTC? I thought she was OTC along. Speaking of which, did Kipyego make the Kenyan team?

Nope, she didn't. She was 5th or 6th in thr kenya trials
Ah, too bad. Returning to the original thought, did AW ever do anything like this back in the 80s? And back then there was basically only AW. Schumaker/Dobert looking like geniuses.
Not every BTC female made it. Sammy Silva didn't make the start line.
NOP put every athlete (Rupp, Ritz, Centro, Cain, Moser, Hasay, Erdmann, Farah, Levins)on the team a few years ago except for Erdmann who got 3rd but didn't hit standard.
Just a few years ago wasn't it just Shalane? Seems like she opened the floodgates for women and success with BTC.
Although Frerichs has signed with Nike/BTC, but she's been in ABQ training with her college coach, Jimmy Butler. I don't know the plan, but I wouldn't be surprised if the actual coaching change takes place post-Rio.
Regardless, an excellent showing for the BTC women.

BTC women got better after a certain member left...

Betsy switched earlier this year or late last year from OTC to BTC and has been training with all those girls. Its amazing how they all made it to the Olympics. Their coach has to be one of the most successful coaches in track and field. Sally Kipyego on the other did not have a good showing at the trials and finished, I think, sixth or seventh.
Strange how the women did so well but the men only got Jager on the team -- correct me if I'm wrong.

Mo
It is very cool to see the rise of track clubs in Track and Field. It's a shame only one other brand (Brooks) can pull together enough sponsored athletes to make a training club of their own. Big Bear Track Club, Norcal Distance Project, BTC, NOP, and OTC got people in the games. Brooks Beasts, Furman Elite, NAZ elite had people in the finals.
It's defeating that norm of people training with remote coaches. Maybe one day the US champs and the Club champs will turn into one thing. That would be a lot of fun. The next step is getting field event clubs.

Care to enlighten those who don't get the reference?
They unloaded the drama queen Goucher and her double decker, extra wide contract and signed some real talent.
Also Infeld and Flanagan went to Jerry and said we need more women to train with. He listened.
I would guess that, the Tennessee State Tiger Bells under legendary and HOF Coach Temple had some successes like this with many, many Olympic medalists.
